Apex Publishing Announces the Apex Author Lottery

Win prize packages from the darkest minds in science fiction, fantasy and horror


[Lexington, Kentucky] May 30, 2009 – What’s better than winning a signed copy of a limited edition book from one of the rising stars of dark science fiction? How about winning a whole stack of prizes, all from the author of your choosing?

Starting June 1 and ending June 30, Apex Publications is holding the Apex Author Lottery, an event readers can enter to win a themed prize package from select Apex authors and editors. You choose your author, and the winner gets every prize in the stack, including items such as signed editions, out of print magazine back issues, and even story critiques for aspiring writers.

The Apex Author Lottery is part of an effort to raise awareness of the great variety of talent available in small press science fiction and horror. Authors include Bram Stoker Award-nominated writer Fran Friel, winner of the 2008 Black Quill Award; two-time Parsec Award winner Matt Wallace; and Nebula Award nominee Jennifer Pelland.
